The Gambia
Member of Parliament
Hon. Alhagie Mbow is an elected Lawmaker in the Gambia National Parliament and currently serving his second term and is the vice chairperson on the Finance & Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) and the chairperson of the committee on Education, Training and ICT. Hon. Mbow also represents the Gambia in the Pan African Parliament under the African Union, in Johannesburg South Africa where is a member of the committee on Transport, Industry, Communications, Energy, Science & Technology.
Hon. Mbow holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Computer Information Systems from Kennesaw State University and an Associate degree in Computer Science from Atlanta Metro College both in the United States of America.  Hon. Mbow has worked in the private sector- Telecom (AT&T Corp), Banking (Standard Chartered Bank & Ecobank Gambia) and the ICT Sector (Lasting Solutions Limited) for over 27 years holding various managerial and other leadership positions.  Hon. Mbow is a co-founder of Lasting Solutions- An ICT and Renewable Energy Company and Supersonicz Microfinance where he served on their boards.
Hon Mbow is a member of African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption and has recently been appointed as a member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) on Internet Governance by the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in December 2021.
