Maria Kolesnikova has a wide range of experience in information technologies, communications and marketing.
She has been working for the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ as a Chief Analyst, UA Project Lead. She has also managed various regional and local industry and Internet Governance events in Russia and Eastern Europe.
Since 2007 Maria is being involved in IDN/UA Programs. She participated in the Fast Track Process for delegation of Cyrillic ccTLD .РФ in 2008-2009. In 2012-2013 she worked on applications for several New gTLDs during the first round of ICANN New gTLD Program. Maria had been the Chair of UA Communications Working Group at UASG for 2021 year. At the moment she is a Chair of the CIS-EE UA Local Initiative (since 2019). Maria has been a speaker/presenter at numerous conferences, including ICANN meetings, CENTR and APTLD workshops, regional, national and global IGF forums, Eastern European DNS Forum, Eurasia Network Operators’ Group conferences, TLDCON, etc
